Dropsy the Clown is Heartwarmingly Creepy

Posted on by HB Duran

Dropsy the Clown has just hugged his way onto Steam for PC, Mac and Linux – and it is quite possibly the creepiest game I have ever seen. This is coming from a person who plays Silent Hill to relax, so…well see for yourself:

It’s just this kind of fear that drives Dropsy the Clown, but not because he’s evil (or so the Government would have us believe); Dropsy is out to clear his name of a particularly nasty urban legend and he needs your help.

As it turns out, Dropsy is quite a nice fellow who prefers to hug strangers and talk to animals. On this point-and-click adventure, it’s up to you to help this kindly, mute entertainer learn the truth about his past and clear his name once and for all.

What makes Dropsy stand out as a game is the fact that there are no voice overs or dialogue boxes. Using only icons, the game allows anyone to play and understand.

Dropsy is now available on Steam, Humble, and GOG with 10% off the normal $9.99 price during the first week of launch.

If you can’t get enough Dropsy, you can also purchase the Warm Damp Hug Edition (eww?) that includes the game, the official soundtrack, the Dreamworld EP, and the Dropsy Book of Secrets digital book for $19.99. Dropsy will also release on iOS and Android later this fall.

The irony is, Dropsy doesn’t WANT you to fear him…will you give him a chance or make a face like THIS kid? For more information, head on over to the official website!
