At Denver Comic Con this past weekend, I had the opportunity to speak with TEDx speaker and Serenity Forge founder, Zhengua “Z” Yang. Z gave us some insight into Serenity Forge’s new games, Four-Sided Fantasy, Desolate Planet and The King’s Bird, along with some valuable insight into how video games bring peace to the world.
Based out of Boulder, Colorado, Serenity Forge is both independent game developer and publisher. :With every game we make,” the company states on its website, “We want you to experience something special. Live through a near-death experience, explore the physics of the universe, unite all your enemies into one, and empower yourself to find true freedom.”
Here’s Z on what’s new with the company and how video games bring peace to the world:
Video games literally saved Z’s life, and now he is dedicated to promoting peace and expression through video game development.
“Video games can be so much more than just games. We believe that they can become a vital part of art, culture, and education. Ultimately, we are in the business of improving people’s lives.” – Serenity Forge
Here is Z explaining how this is possible during his recent TEDx talk:
